Belting out three-part harmonies and backed by lively, guitar-driven grooves, REDSTEPS embrace a sound that reflects both city and country. With inspiration ranging from Hank Williams to The Band to Ryan Adams, REDSTEPS provide an emotional, rootsy feel with a healthy dose of honest rock ’n’ roll.

Based out of Toronto, the band has crafted its sound and refined its performance with a steady regimen of gigging. In addition to the various haunts, honky-tonks and unsavoury establishments around Ontario, the ‘alt-country stalwarts’ (Stratford Beacon Herald) have performed at many classic Toronto venues such as The Cameron House, The Painted Lady, The Silver Dollar Room and The Drake Hotel; they have also held residencies at The Dakota Tavern and west end watering hole Not My Dog.  REDSTEPS have won over crowds of all sizes with repeat appearances at Canadian Music Week and Steam Whistle’s Roundhouse Craft Beer Festival.

REDSTEPS released their eponymous debut album in 2014, following it up in 2016 with an April EP release. The EP, titled “Small Places”, was recorded in a barn in the rural landscape of New Hamburg, Ontario; the band wanted to capture the raw and energetic sound revered by all those who have seen them live.

From the first song in the set the band had ladies up and dancing in front of the stage […] Do what I’m going to do and find their self titled debut album from 2014.”
